Storyline:
Wilson Herrera, a Colombian professional soldier known as "El Perro." He has been kidnapped by the FARC guerrilla for 14 years. Herrera, during a confrontation between his captors and the paramilitaries, manages to escape. Then he gets lost in the thick Colombian jungle until he almost dies in the mountains. After a couple of days in agony, he is found by Gilberto Echeverry, a local farmer who takes him to his house to, together with his wife, snatch him from death. As the days go by and during his recovery, Herrera learns that Gilberto and his wife Consuelo lost their daughter at the hands of the "Duendes", mythological beings who steal unbaptized children. Pedro, Gilberto's older brother, has been trying to contact the “Duendes” to recover his niece. This situation gives purpose to Herrera who learns the heartbreaking truth that will give him and his new friends freedom.
